Welcome to the blog of the Water Rats second great adventure, Ireland End to End - from Mizen Head to Malin Head. Around 450 miles in 6 days cycling. Last year we did Lands End to John O'Groats (see link to the blog in Rat Web Links) - 930 miles in 8 days cycling. So Ireland should be a doddle.
We are all from the Water Rats swimming club based in Hamilton, Lanarkshire. As you have probably worked out already quite a few of us are also into cycling and triathlon

Ferry cross the Shannon
Fast ride to here apart from the climb in the mountains. Strong wind mainly behind us. Long straights and fairly flat. Heavy showers.
Right... you lot are at it. Bikes in the van, bikes on a boat. Pints in hand... Can you please ask for some action shots....
